Founder & CEO

Steve Ryan is Founder and CEO at Trinity Cyber. He is a recognized leader in cybersecurity and established Trinity Cyber to deliver a fundamentally new approach to the cyber threat that at its core, focuses on actively stopping the tools and techniques used by the most nefarious adversaries. Under Steve’s leadership, the company has redefined the network security market and continues to gain strong adoption with its revolutionary and patented Full Content Inspection (FCI) technology as a service. Steve is the inventor of FCI, which continues to displace some of the biggest tech companies in the industry and is widely deployed at some of the largest commercial enterprises, universities, federal agencies, and utilities in the United States and Australia. The industry has taken notice of FCI and the company has been recognized by Gartner, SINET, Dark Reading, SC Media and Cyber Defense Magazine for its innovation.

Steve’s background includes decades of federal service hunting nation state cyber adversaries and leading highly sophisticated active network defense operations against them.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island. He is a patent holder and was the primary architect of the National Security Agency’s Threat Operations Center, bringing together intelligence collection and network defensive missions to identify and stop cyber threats at very large scale. Steve is a recipient of the Presidential Rank Award, the Exceptional Civilian Service award, and a first-place winner of the Department of Defense CIO Award.
